Welcome to New Guinea Birds

New Guinea is home for hundreds of beautiful birds living in rich and exquisite forests, high mountains and deep valleys. The breeding land- and freshwater avifauna that adorns Papua with a nearly mythical status, comprises more than 700 species. Here I would like to show you their beauty and fascinating behavior. Therefore I developed New Guinea Birds. New Guinea Birds are resource for the identification of all species living in mainland of New Guinea and surrounding islands.

Please note, New Guinea Birds will be under construction and development in 2016. I hope to update all information here by the end of the year.
