Welcome to New Guinea Birds
In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence Robert Lynd
I was lucky one day, and become part of silence in Papua New Guinea. From the very first moment, I fell for this country and its avifauna. New Guinea is home for hundreds of beautiful birds living in rich and exquisite forests, high mountains and deep valleys. The breeding land- and freshwater avifauna that adorns Papua with a nearly mythical status, comprises more than 700 species. Here I would like to show you their beauty and fascinating behavior. Therefore I developed New Guinea Birds. New Guinea Birds are resource for the identification of all species living in mainland of New Guinea, surrounding islands and Solomon Islands.
