Voice of Columba vitiensis by Katerina Sam [2010-05-06], in Bruno Sawmill, Papua New Guinea, 2700 m. The recording is a compilation of sounds of two individuals seen during one day. Both birds were clearly seen. They were sitting about 17 m above ground, taking fruits on a Ficus tree. Usually, the species was seen in pairs or singly.
