Megalurulus  

Megalurulus, the thicketbirds, are a genus of songbirds. Previously placed in the "Old World warbler" family Sylviidae, they does not seem to be a close relative of the typical warblers. More probably, they belong in the newly recognized grass-warbler family Locustellidae.

This genus contains the following species:

• New Caledonian thicketbird or New Caledonia Grassbird, Megalurulus mariei
• New Britain thicketbird, Megalurulus grosvenori
• Bougainville thicketbird, Megalurulus llaneae
• Melanesian thicketbird, Megalurulus whitneyi
• Rusty thicketbird, Megalurulus rubiginosus
